The Music

Resident DJ and Host Dani Benson, brings to you the best of the Golden age of Tango music.

Backing up DaniB is Greg Zapper who brings his own zest and elements to the Milonga

I started out bringing my computer to Jueves Practica – to play music for others to practice too. 4 years later and I now seem to have 2 residencies. La Pequeña Milonga Azul and Lewes Milonga (part of Tango Revolution).

I DJ’d at one of my favorite Milongas (The Station Milonga – Hove) for Brighton Dancing as well as being asked to step in for Claudia Ohde on occasion.

Traditional Tango Music is where my heart is and I love to play with a themed cortina section. I tend to play what I like to dance too and this is generally well known and dance-able Tango’s, excitable Vals and bonkers Milonga’s. Some of my favorites are the earlier years – just before the Golden Age and occasionally I will delve into this little honey-pot of sweetness.

There is still so much to learn and and I profess to still being a beginner in this – but I love it, the sounds, the trills, the feelings and the hidden gems that make you want to dance dance dance.
